GIVE Seattle, the downloadable benefit music and video compilation launched by Seattle coffee roaster Caffé Vita, has added new songs to the set by Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard, The Long Winters leader John Roderick and Hardly Art duo The Dutchess and the Duke.
But time is running out to get GIVE. On February 28, the tracks will no longer be for sale on the www.giveseattle.org website or at retail partners, and planning will begin for next year’s GIVE charity project. Those who purchase the set before February 28 will be able to download the tracks from the site through March 31.
Fans can buy the $7 digital set at www.giveseattle.org, or purchase a GIVE gift package and download redemption card at Caffé Vita shops, Easy Street Records, Sonic Boom Records, University Book Store, The Crocodile, EMP, Neumos and Sorrento Hotel. Supporters who have already bought GIVE can download the newly available songs by entering their original redemption code at www.giveseattle.org.
Since its release in November, GIVE Seattle has more than $20,000 for Arts Corps, Seattle’s largest nonprofit arts educator, plus the Ballard Food Bank, Rainier Valley Food Bank, University District Food Bank and West Seattle Food Bank.
These additional songs, along with new tracks from Unnatural Helpers and Throw Me The Statue, bring the total number of cuts available on GIVE Seattle to 35, nearly all of which are exclusive. New Videos for GIVE tracks directed by Chase Jarvis and Creature featuring music by Head Like a Kite w/ Tilson and John Roderick are now available at http://giveseattle.org/index.php?page=videos.
