Easy Street Records & Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co. announce INDO 25: A commemorative coffee in celebration of Easy Street Records 25th Anniversary as an independent, Seattle business.
How Mike McConnell and Matt Vaughan met in 1995 is somewhat of a blur. They went to the same concerts, floated around the same circle of friends, but it was deeper than that. They were fierce independents in their respective industries, building their dreams from the ground up. Mike was a patron of Easy Street, always supporting local music. One day Matt stopped by Caffe Vita just to see what it was about, there was Mike, doing it all from roasting coffee to pulling espresso shots, that’s when it clicked for them. These two guys had the same spirit and drive to make something that would have a lasting impression on the Seattle community. Matt bought a couple pounds of coffee that day, impressed with the quality and hard work, making him the very first wholesale customer of Caffe Vita. Throughout the next 20 years they set a model for local and independent businesses, with support from each other and the community, allowing them to tantalize the ears and tongues of many with the best in music and coffee.
INDO 25 is an exclusive single origin coffee sourced from the islands of Indonesia with an unmistakable flavor attributed to the traditional style of coffee processing used. This coffee is organic and shade grown in harmony with their other fruit crops. The community works together at harvest time, hand picking the coffee fruit. INDO 25 is a medium to dark roast with an earthy aroma and spicy maple flavor.
