It’s Sasquatch! week, and since we’re big music fans over here at Caffe Vita, you can bet your ass that we’re stoked to get ourselves up to The Gorge this weekend to dance wildly to some of our favorite bands.

And if you’re going, make sure you track down our tent to hang out, as Vita will be well-represented and will surely have some of the best dance moves at the event—OK, maybe not?

Either way, keep reading to see what’s going on in the secret and true life of Vita, as we give you a few of the things that we’re diggin’ on this week.

Erin Benarz, Customer Service Rep: “I’m diggin’ on Sasquatch this weekend! (duh)—particularly seeing Band of Skulls, Parquet Courts and Tune Yards, and trying to get them to hangout with Vita at some point.”

Shawn JenningsDigital Media Manager: “I’m diggin’  A-Frames & El Caminos while listening to the soundtrack to Jason Baffa’s surf documentary, One California Day.

Gretchen Hackler, Marketing Manager: “If this fat cat isn’t enough, than I guess I’m diggin’ this article by VICE on skateboarding in the GDR during the ’80s.”

Reese Umbaugh, Manager, Capitol Hill: “I’m diggin’ on that RuPaul’s Drag Race finale, man! I’m in love with Bianca Del Rio. #CrownTheClown”

Ross Beamish, Head Trainer: “I’m diggin’ on making cold brew for Tavern Law to feature in a cocktail. I’m also loving new music by Amen Dunes.

Rick FrielGrocery Field Rep: “I’m diggin’ on a record-breaking fundraiser for Broadview Thompson K-8 elementary school, bringing in over $113,000. Vita was on the silent auction and killed it!”

Kathy Murphy, Accounting/Finance Senior Manager: “I may be an unimaginative accountant—so these things come awfully slowly to me—however I do frequent one of our customers, Fuel, almost every weekend.”

Derek KavanCustomer Service Manager: “I’m diggin’ watching Game of Thrones with homemade “ramen” soup and homemade kimchi. Dig? Dig.”

Nick DimengoStoryteller: “I’m diggin’ the fact that my employees are nice enough not to complain about my feet smelling awful while wearing my sockless, Vans top-siders. They’ve either lost the sense of smell, or are the nicest people I know.”

Something You Need this Week: Caffe Vita Snake Mug—Because everyone needs a favorite coffee mug. (Buy Here)

| May 20, 2014

Do you recognize that man on the right? If you tuned-in to the most recent season of Food Network Star last summer you probably do.

That’s because he’s Season Nine’s third-place finisher Russell Jackson, who owns SubCultureDining.com—a private cooking club in both New York and San Francisco.

A good friend of the Caffe Vita family and our own Bob Prince, we hooked Russell up with a full supply of coffee and ceramics to be featured on his video podcast, PopFoodsTV, which started shooting in Manhattan this past Sunday.
