Come down to the Caffe Vita Bean Room (1005 E. Pike Street, Seattle) on Saturday and Sunday for the Brackish Pop-Up Shop. Brackish is a local, sustainable furniture company that aims to inspire and respond to a demand for exceptional design, local production, and lasting quality. Essentially, this stuff is gorgeous. We are excited to partner with these talented designers and craftsmen.
Have the chance to see the first collection of furniture from Brackish as well as pieces from Whitcomb & Company. Also, come see the clothing, home goods and gifts from other local designers, brought to you by Glasswing. The Brackish Pop-Up Shop is open from 11AM to 10PM on Saturday and 11AM to 5PM on Sunday.
The Capitol Hill Block Party Day 3 with KEXP in the Bean Room featured live performances from The Posies, The Cave Singers, My Goodness, Kung Foo Grip, and Brothers From Another.
Check out our photos from the front row and then see the KEXP blog for more about the bands that played the Bean Room on Sunday:

Can we find the words to say how much we love hosting KEXP’s broadcasts from the Bean Room? It’s an honor to have visits and performances by such talented artists all weekend long. The Bean Room is a fairly normal (and quiet) warehouse almost every day. Its transformation into a mini-venue and recording studio is a special treat — maybe even for the coffee beans, too.

Friday featured Bean Room performances by Fucked Up and The Head and the Heart. You can listen to The Head and the Heart’s live performance on KEXP, here on their website.
Here are more photos from Friday, Day 1, including scenes from our La Famiglia Lounge (our Block Party upstairs bar) and from performances by The Fresh & Onlys, and Thurston Moore.

Thanks to all who attended the 7/21 show in our Bean Room — one wild week ago — by Morning Teleportation. Our Thursday kickoff to the Capitol Hill Block Party featured the up-and-coming Portland band, groovy lights, and complimentary cold-brew coffee. Because we partnered with Verizon for this Coffee Shop Series concert, all attendees left the Bean Room loaded up with a bag of “Morning Teleportation Blend” coffee, and T-shirts and posters printed by The VERA Project.
