Seattle Boxing Studio just held their 2nd Annual Fundraiser: Fight Night at the gym AKA Brawl Day on Broadway. All proceeds benefited new equipment for the gym and will help the SBS team travel to different locations. There were over 7 exhibition bouts featuring SBS fighters, coaches and clients. They featured a bout against SBS’s own fighter Kevin J. Roberson and 2012 178 WA GG champion Scott Anthony Beal along with a special bout featuring retired Pro Martin O’Malley and a SBS member Ron Rosella. All Tickets included food donated by Via Tribunali Neapolitan Pizzeria and Osteria La Spiga!
It was a gourmand’s dream-come-true: an exquisite dining experience for 20 in the stunning Caffe Vita Loft in Seattle. Brendan McGill (Hitchcock Restaurant), Ethan Stowell (Ethan Stowell Restaurants) an Bob Prince (Caffe Vita) provided the culinary delights and wine pairings!
It was the St. Martins’ University Gala Auction where the chef’s dinner was purchased. It was sold for $7800.00. 100% of that went to St. Martins’ and was purchased by James Phillips, Drew Phillips and David Owens!
They work for Berschauer Phillips Construction and have built many projects on the St. Martin’s campus.
We participate in this event at the request of our good friend and Salumi owner Armandino Batali. Armandino is a 1958 graduate of St. Martins’ University.
Some Highlights – The menu featured Ricotta Ravioli with Brown Butter and Peas by Ethan Stowell, Neah Bah Halibut with Morels and Oven Roasted Ramps by Bob Prince, Bainbridge Island Duck done 4 ways by Brendan McGill, and a “to die for” Coconut Cake by Heather Earnhardt of Wandering Goose.
The wines were selected by Via Tribunali’s Travis Hawkins and were great pairings.
