COMMUNITY

Caffe Vita is committed to giving back to our local communities, by supporting urban revitalization projects, mentoring and work training programs for homeless youth, education, cultural institutions, and the arts.

Caffe Vita supports initiatives directly focused on providing solutions and compassion to our homeless community. Including, but not limited to:

- Donations of coffee training, equipment, and coffee to the FareStart youth barista training program, which trains homeless youth and provides barista jobs in partnership with T-Mobile Field.

- Annual sponsorships for 16 pre-school to high school kids for back to school clothes, Christmas gifts, Easter baskets, swimsuits/goggles/towels/swim lessons, sleeping bags for summer camp, in partnership with the YWCA Shelters.

- Annual sponsorships for sixteen families of Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, Mother’s Day (gifts for mothers, groceries, a family meal out)

- Pizza and pastry donations for preschooler and parent literacy program graduations

- Sponsorships for FareStart's annual Guest Chef Night and Volunteer Server Night, which annually bring together 20+ Seattle chefs and winemakers to raise money for FareStart. FareStart is a real solution to some of our society's most pressing challenges—homelessness, joblessness, poverty, and hunger.

- An annual holiday fundraising drive for Jubilee Women’s Center in Caffe Vita cafes, with donations, matched dollar for dollar.

- An annual holiday fundraiser for Youthcare, working to end youth homelessness and to ensure that young people are valued for who they are and empowered to achieve their potential.

Additional annual support given to: Mary’s Place, The Dove Project, Vashon Youth and Family Services, Childhaven, Atlantic Street Center, West Seattle Food Bank, Real Change, Juma Ventures, Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic, Hopelink, Rotary First Harvest, Elderfriends, UW Vietnam Health Clinic, Musicares
