Don’t let the name fool you, Dark Star packs a juicy punch that is out of this world! This light roast from Guatemala is imbued with rich, dark berry notes and deep, plumy qualities that dazzle upon a caramel base. Serve this over ice and you’ll be the star of the show. The last time we featured this coffee from the El Mirador farm was with our Moon River single origin last year. Owned and operated by Rosalia Armas and her family since 1975, their coffees are living testaments to the generations worth of work spent perfecting their craft. The complexity and layers within this coffee are the result of decades of refinement, revealed in the high-quality brew in your cup.  

Inspired by the dark fruity notes and the night sky at Finca El Mirador, Dark Star grew on the hillsides overlooking the sweeping vistas of the Huehuetenango mountains. The Armas family are stewards of the land they cultivate, practicing sustainable wastewater management and preventing soil erosion.
