Crimson and Clover is our newest Ethiopian single origin with its name referencing the indulgent jamminess that dominates its flavor profile. Showcasing top notes of fruity red raspberry jam and bright lemon, this light roast also delivers the iconic floral qualities inherent to the region’s terroir. Behind its delicious flavor and delicate mouthfeel is an unexpected talent in the legendary Gedeo Zone.  

Originally a computer technician, Negusse Debela didn’t know much about coffee before he founded SNAP Specialty Coffee in 2008. After experiencing a life-changing pour over in a Minnesapolis cafe, he returned home determined to bolster his community’s footing in the business as a top exporter. More than 15 years later, Debela has expanded his endeavors throughout the region. Gedeb, home to their newest operations, is included among other notable areas in the Zone like Yirgacheffe that produce some of the most desired coffees the world over. Immense dedication has been invested, transporting cherries among facilities and hourly care during the drying process, to produce coffee in the Worka Chelbassa community on the same level as their legendary peers.  

Our team was excited to develop a roast profile that not only honors its heritage but also yields a coffee that leaves drinkers ravenous for more – and Crimson and Clover certainly achieves that.
