Grown in between two active volcanoes at 1820masl in the Fraijanes region of Guatemala, this lot gets nourishment from more than just some of the world's most naturally fertile soil. Finca El Tambor was previously used as cattle pasture for generations until 2003 when Francisco Calderon began his coffee farm. Today, combined with his son Mario’s nearby lot at Finca La Cancha, the Calderon family manages 185 acres of heirloom and hybrid varietals protected by sustainable shade trees.
